Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller Drishyam 2 is doing phenomenally well at the box office. The film opened with a record start and saw good growth on Sat and now it is set for a solid first weekend.
It is a crime thriller and serves as the sequel to the 2015 cult film Dirshyam. It is directed by Abhishek Pathak and the screenplay was written by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Abhishek Pathak.

The trend in advance is very good, it has clocked in over 5 crores+ from the pre-sales as of now. With a few hours more left, it is expected to touch the 8 Cr from the advance bookings alone. Going by this, the film could garner in the range of 25 Cr again to take the total first weekend earnings over 55 Cr nett domestically.

Drishyam 2 was released on Nov 18 on over 4000 screens worldwide, in India, it occupied more than 3000 screens making it one of the biggest releases for Ajay Devgn. The film is said to be made on a budget of 50 crores. According to the reports, it will cover its budget in the 1st weekend itself.
It was certified U/A by the CBFC board with an approved runtime of 2hr 22min or 142mins. The sequel is receiving rave reviews from critics and the audience alike. It is getting praise for the story, performances, screenplay, and climax part.
