New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned South Superstar Vijay Deverakonda regarding the finances of his latest release ‘Liger’. Earlier, the ED had also questioned producer Charmy Kaur and director Puri Jagannadh regarding the finances of the film. If reports are to be believed, the film is believed to be guilty of violating the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) of 1999, in connection with which people associated with the film are being questioned.

Vijay Deverakonda has now broken his silence on this. According to HT, the actor said – more popularity also brings difficulties with it, you cannot do anything about it. But I see it as an experience. When he called, I did my duty and went and answered his questions.

The Arjun Ready fame actor confirmed that he was questioned for 12 hours but did not say whether he was called again. Two weeks ago, the Liger film maker and producer duo was also grilled for about 12 hours. A source had told Hindustan Times, “The ED officials wanted to know the name of the company or persons who financed the film. They suspect that the money used to fund the film came from abroad. It is being investigated that how FEMA has been violated in the funding of this film.
The sports action movie Liger featured Vijay Deverakonda along with Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan in the lead roles. The promotion of the film of this Pan India film was done tremendously but despite all the efforts, the film fell flat at the box office. It had come to the point that the producer of the film had to return the money of the distributors as well.

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda will soon be seen in the film Khushi opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This film is going to release in the year 2023. Vijay made his acting debut in the year 2011 with the Telugu film Nuvvila.
